On this official Rolling Stones T-shirt, the traditionally red tongue takes on the colours of the Brazilian flag: green, yellow and blue. The Brazilian flag itself appears in the centre of the tongue, complete with its yellow diamond and blue globe. A deliberately distressed treatment gives the artwork a great vintage finish.
The Tongue and Lips, Brazilian style đ
Created by British designer John Pasche in 1971, the famous Tongue and Lips has become inseparable from the Rolling Stones. This variation retains the red lips of the original design while transforming the tongue with the colours and flag of Brazil.
The Stones and Brazil: quite a history đž
The Brazilian connection is particularly fitting considering the Rolling Stones' history in the country. On 18 February 2006, the band played a huge free concert on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro in front of a crowd estimated at more than one million people â one of the most spectacular shows of their career.
