This puzzle features the cover artwork from Leprosy, Death's second studio album, released in 1988. A classic from the early years of death metal, the album features a particularly striking illustration by Ed Repka.

Against a red and purple sky, the artwork depicts a man suffering from leprosy in the foreground, his face and arms severely marked by the disease. Isolated buildings and several figures wearing protective clothing appear behind him. A disturbing and memorable image directly connected to the album's title. 💀

Death takes another step forward

Following Scream Bloody Gore in 1987, Chuck Schuldiner continued to develop Death's sound with Leprosy. The album includes tracks such as Leprosy, Born Dead, Pull the Plug, Open Casket and Choke on It.

This time Death operated more as a full band, with Rick Rozz credited on guitar and Bill Andrews on drums, alongside Chuck Schuldiner on vocals, guitar and bass.

Another Ed Repka cover

Following Scream Bloody Gore, Ed Repka once again created the artwork for Death on Leprosy. His highly contrasted colours and horror imagery became an important part of the visual identity of the band's early albums. He would also create the cover of Spiritual Healing in 1990.

This classic artwork is reproduced here as a 72-piece round puzzle, measuring 18 cm in diameter when completed.
