Human. :II: Nature. is the ninth studio album by Nightwish, released in 2020. The first double album in the Finnish band's history, it was also their final album recorded with bassist and vocalist Marko Hietala.

This 500-piece Nightwish puzzle recreates the album cover created by Finnish artist Janne Pitkänen. 🧩

Two Discs, Two Sides of Human. :II: Nature.

The album's concept is reflected directly in its structure. The first disc, Human, features nine songs including Noise, Harvest, How's the Heart? and Tribal. The second, Nature, is entirely devoted to All the Works of Nature Which Adorn the World, an extended orchestral composition divided into eight parts.

Nightwish continued the orchestral approach developed by Tuomas Holopainen throughout the band's career, with Floor Jansen on vocals and Troy Donockley as a permanent member of the line-up.

The Human. :II: Nature. artwork uses a dark, minimalist composition. At its centre is a rock-like form illuminated in golden tones and covered with symbols, surrounded by an almost entirely black background. The Nightwish logo and album title complete the restrained design.

Did you know? The album's stylised official title replaces some letters with their Roman equivalents: HVMAN. :II: NATVRE. The “:II:” between the two words also reflects the album's two-part structure.
