😈 This official Metallica patch features the iconic artwork from the 1983 Jump in the Fire single. Dominated by a fearsome demonic creature rising from an inferno, the design became one of the band's earliest recognisable visual identities and remains a classic piece of official Metallica merchandise.

A defining single from the Kill 'Em All era ⚡

Released shortly after Kill 'Em All, Jump in the Fire was the second single taken from Metallica's debut album. Its memorable riff and raw energy helped establish the band's early thrash metal sound and it remains a fan favourite to this day.

An iconic infernal illustration 🔍

The artwork depicts a powerful demonic creature emerging from a blazing yellow, orange and red background. Its muscular body, long horns, pointed ears, glowing green eyes and wide-open mouth filled with sharp fangs create a striking infernal appearance. Despite its title, Jump in the Fire is not simply a song about hell. The lyrics are written from Satan's point of view, directly addressing the listener. This provocative concept, common in early 1980s heavy metal, helped build Metallica's controversial image during its formative years. The song is also one of the early compositions co-written with Dave Mustaine before his departure from the band.
