Scorpions - Blackout Puzzle

500 pieces

Released in March 1982, Blackout is Scorpions' eighth studio album and one of the key records from the German band's international breakthrough period. It includes Blackout, No One Like You, Dynamite and When the Smoke Is Going Down.

The album nearly took a very different course: during its preparation, Klaus Meine lost his voice and underwent surgery on his vocal cords. His future as Scorpions' singer became uncertain before he eventually recovered and was able to record the album.

😱 Gottfried Helnwein's self-portrait

The Blackout cover was created by Austrian artist Gottfried Helnwein. The bandaged, screaming figure with his eyes obscured is not Klaus Meine: it is Helnwein himself, photographed for this self-portrait.

The figure is depicted with metal forks positioned in front of his eyes, creating one of the most distinctive album covers in the Scorpions catalogue.

This artwork is reproduced as a 500-piece puzzle.
