Rush - A Farewell to Kings Puzzle

500 pieces

Released in September 1977, A Farewell to Kings is Rush's fifth studio album. Following the success of 2112, the Canadian trio pushed their progressive rock even further with tracks including Xanadu, Closer to the Heart and Cygnus X-1.

The album was recorded at the famous Rockfield Studios in Wales, where Queen had recorded part of Bohemian Rhapsody two years earlier.

👑 Artwork by Hugh Syme

The cover was created by longtime Rush collaborator Hugh Syme. It uses a deliberately impossible photomontage: the foreground comes from a demolition site in Buffalo, New York, while the background features Toronto's Harbour Castle Hotel.

At the centre sits a strange puppet-like human figure dressed as a grotesque king. Syme's composition contrasts decay, wealth and modernity, connecting the artwork directly with the title A Farewell to Kings.

This highly detailed album artwork is reproduced as a 500-piece puzzle.
