Pink Floyd – The Endless River 1000-Piece Puzzle

The Endless River, released in November 2014, is Pink Floyd's fifteenth studio album. David Gilmour and Nick Mason revisited recordings made with Richard Wright during the 1993 The Division Bell sessions. Predominantly instrumental, the album was conceived as a tribute to the Pink Floyd keyboard player, who died in 2008.

This 1000-piece Pink Floyd puzzle features its distinctive cover: a man standing in a boat, travelling across an immense sea of clouds beneath a blue, light-filled sky. 🌅

A Cover Born from the Work of an 18-Year-Old Egyptian Artist

Following the death of Storm Thorgerson in 2013, his former Hipgnosis partner Aubrey “Po” Powell became involved in the search for the album's artwork. He discovered the work of Ahmed Emad Eldin, an Egyptian digital artist who was only 18 years old at the time.

His concept already featured a man travelling across a sea of clouds. The idea was selected for The Endless River and developed into the finished cover by British design agency Stylorouge. The album credits therefore attribute the concept to Ahmed Emad Eldin and the artwork to Aubrey Powell and Stylorouge.

A Final Chapter Connected to The Division Bell

Did you know? The connection between The Endless River and The Division Bell extends beyond the recording sessions. The album's title comes from the lyrics of High Hopes, the closing track on The Division Bell – an especially fitting link for what became the final Pink Floyd studio album.

The cover also continues the tradition of surreal imagery associated with the band for decades. Aubrey Powell, who co-founded Hipgnosis with Storm Thorgerson, provides a direct link with that visual history while introducing the work of a new generation of artists.
