Iron Maiden's A Matter of Life and Death is transformed into a genuine football shirt, entirely developed around the visual universe of the band's 2006 album.

A Matter of Life and Death meets football

This design embraces the album's powerful military theme. Just like the original cover, it features Eddie standing on top of a battle tank, surrounded by an advancing column of skeletal soldiers in a dark, war-torn atmosphere.

Grey, olive green and deep blue tones extend the mood of the original artwork across the shirt. Created by Tim Bradstreet and completed with colourist Grant Goleash, the imagery gives this jersey an identity unlike any other Iron Maiden design.

Iron Maiden takes to the pitch

This shirt is part of a collection built around a particularly clever concept: transforming Iron Maiden albums into football teams, complete with their own colours, crests and squad numbers.

A Matter of Life and Death lends itself perfectly to the idea. The olive-green sleeves, dark grey body and military imagery give the shirt the appearance of a genuine team kit built around the album's distinctive universe.

Maiden FC in military colours

The embroidered Maiden FC crest features Eddie wearing his military helmet, set within a shield specially adapted to the colours of this design.

On the front, beneath the classic Iron Maiden logo, the artwork shows Eddie and his skeletal troops advancing around the battle tank. Shades of green, grey and dark blue continue across the body, sleeves and collar.

2006 becomes number 06

On the back, the huge 06 directly references the year A Matter of Life and Death was released. The scenery continues across the lower section in a dark, misty landscape, while the album title appears discreetly beneath the collar.
