Snaggletooth, the Motörhead emblem

The first slipmat features a large image of Snaggletooth, also known as the War-Pig: the fanged, horned and chained creature that became inseparable from Motörhead's visual identity.

Created by artist Joe Petagno for the band's 1977 debut album, Snaggletooth remained closely associated with Motörhead for decades and became one of the most recognisable symbols in rock and heavy metal.

We are Motörhead, and we play Rock 'n' Roll

The second slipmat uses a more minimalist design, with a large white cross in the centre surrounded by the words “We are Motörhead, and we play Rock 'n' Roll”.

The phrase is directly associated with Lemmy, who regularly used it to introduce the band at the beginning of concerts. It perfectly reflects how he described Motörhead: beyond punk or heavy metal labels, to him the band simply played rock 'n' roll.
