The creature behind Motörhead since 1977

Snaggletooth was created in 1977 by American artist Joe Petagno for Motörhead's debut album. Its hybrid face combines a skull, oversized fangs, horns, chains and mechanical elements into a creature designed to embody the band's visual identity.

The symbol would evolve across different records and eras while remaining inseparable from Motörhead and Lemmy Kilmister. Here, Snaggletooth appears in a highly detailed black and white design, complete with helmet, tusks and chain, contrasted by the striking red lettering.
