UB40 and Labour of Love II

Released in 1989, Labour of Love II followed the concept of UB40's original 1983 Labour of Love: an album devoted to interpretations of songs that had influenced the band, with strong roots in reggae and Jamaican music.

The album includes Kingston Town, their version of the Lord Creator song that became one of UB40's best-known recordings, alongside Homely Girl, Here I Am (Come and Take Me) and The Way You Do the Things You Do.

An original piece of 1989 tour memorabilia

This official tour programme comes directly from the Labour of Love II period. Its understated cover features the UB40 – Labour of Love II title in the lower right corner against a dark background, echoing the album's visual identity.
