Take That – The Unofficial Biography

Take That: The Unofficial Biography is an illustrated book about the British pop group, written by Mick St. Michael and published by Bobcat Books in 1994. An original period publication released at the height of Take That mania, complete with its included poster.

Take That at their peak in 1994

When this biography was published, Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange still formed the original Take That line-up. The group was enjoying huge success across the UK and Europe with hits including Pray, Relight My Fire, Babe and Everything Changes.

The book looks back at the group's beginnings and rapid rise to fame during the early 1990s, accompanied by numerous colour photographs and illustrations.

A genuine period publication

Published in 1994, the book predates Robbie Williams' departure in 1995 and Take That's first split in 1996. It therefore captures the classic five-member line-up right in the middle of the period that made Take That one of the biggest British pop phenomena of the 1990s.

Its large 23 × 29 cm format, numerous photographs and included poster make it a great period collectible for Take That fans. 📚
