In 1978, Black Sabbath released Never Say Die!, the original line-up's eighth studio album and the last recorded with Ozzy Osbourne before his departure the following year. The band headed out on tour, including an extensive run across the United States alongside Van Halen, who were then at the beginning of their rise. 🎸

This period therefore marked the end of Black Sabbath's first great chapter: the line-up that had recorded albums including Paranoid, Master of Reality, Vol. 4 and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath.
