The Aladdin Sane lightning bolt

The large red and blue lightning bolt across the front references the make-up worn by David Bowie on the cover of Aladdin Sane, released in 1973. Photographed by Brian Duffy, Bowie appeared with the distinctive bolt across his face, creating an image that became one of the defining visuals of his career.

The backpack gives the design a particularly clean treatment: an all-black background, an oversized diagonal lightning bolt and the red Bowie logo across the front pocket.
