Jamie Reid's iconic design

The original Never Mind the Bollocks sleeve was created by British graphic designer Jamie Reid, who shaped much of the Sex Pistols' visual identity. His work combined deliberately clashing typography, aggressive colours and an aesthetic influenced by collage and cut-out lettering.

This graphic language accompanied the Sex Pistols throughout their early singles and became inseparable from the band. For Never Mind the Bollocks, Reid took the idea even further: no photograph of the band appears on the cover, just the title, the Sex Pistols name and colours designed to be impossible to ignore. ⚡

An album from the heart of the punk explosion

Released on 28 October 1977, Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols includes Anarchy in the U.K., God Save the Queen, Pretty Vacant and Holidays in the Sun. It remains the only studio album released by the Sex Pistols during their original existence.
