Glossy Photo 18 x 24 cm – Curt Smith live with Tears for Fears

This 18 x 24 cm black and white photo captures Curt Smith, bassist and co-founder of Tears for Fears, performing live during the band’s iconic Seeds of Love Tour (1989-1990). Singing into the microphone and playing his bass guitar, Curt delivers a passionate moment on stage, embodying the emotional depth and musicianship that define the band’s legacy.

The image showcases Smith in a casual stage outfit with a graphic t-shirt — very much reflecting the late 80s/early 90s aesthetic. This tour was launched to support the release of their third studio album The Seeds of Love (1989), which included classics such as Sowing the Seeds of Love, Woman in Chains and Advice for the Young at Heart.

Following their mid-80s breakthrough with Everybody Wants to Rule the World and Shout, this era marked a shift toward a more organic and sophisticated sound. This photograph captures a quieter, yet no less powerful side of the duo’s live presence — timeless and emotionally charged.
