Official Airbourne Turntable Slipmats – Boneshaker

Bring the world of Boneshaker to your turntable with this set of 2 officially licensed Airbourne slipmats. Both designs feature the winged skull created for the Australian band's fifth album, together with the Airbourne, Boneshaker and R.N.R.F.L. lettering. ⚡

The Boneshaker skull on your turntable

The two slipmats offer different layouts based on the same artwork. The first places the skull in the centre surrounded by lightning bolts, with Airbourne above and Boneshaker below. The second uses a circular layout with the band and album names surrounding the central emblem.

The winged skull with aviator goggles comes directly from the visual identity of Boneshaker, Airbourne’s fifth studio album, released on 25 October 2019.

R.N.R.F.L.: Rock ’N’ Roll For Life

One small detail in the artwork has a story of its own: the letters R.N.R.F.L. beneath the skull stand for “Rock ’N’ Roll For Life”. It is also the title of the closing track on Boneshaker.

The phrase sums up the idea behind the artwork. Around the album’s release, guitarist Matt “Harri” Harrison explained that the band wanted to create a timeless, tattoo-worthy emblem built around the idea of rock ’n’ roll for life.

Boneshaker: Airbourne recorded in Nashville

For Boneshaker, Airbourne headed to the legendary RCA Studio A in Nashville to work with producer Dave Cobb. The band wanted a direct recording approach inspired by 1970s rock and aimed to capture as much of its live energy as possible.

The resulting ten-track album includes Boneshaker, Burnout the Nitro, Backseat Boogie and, fittingly, Rock ’N’ Roll For Life.
