Released in 1995, Smells Like Children marked a decisive stage in Marilyn Manson’s career. More experimental and disturbing than the band’s debut album, the EP developed an aesthetic built around theatrical makeup, acid colours, dark humour and deliberately uncomfortable imagery.

It also includes the band’s cover of Eurythmics’ Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This). The success of this track played a major role in introducing Marilyn Manson to a wider audience and establishing the band’s visual identity internationally.
