Bannière ZZ Top

Classic Rock

ZZ Top is an American rock band formed in 1969 in Houston, Texas. The iconic trio — Billy Gibbons (guitar, vocals), Dusty Hill (bass, vocals), and Frank Beard (drums) — became legendary for their powerful blues-rock sound, gritty guitar tones, and unmistakable beards paired with a sharp sense of humor. Their style perfectly embodies the raw energy and swagger of Southern rock.

After rising to prominence in the 1970s, ZZ Top reached global fame with the 1983 album Eliminator. Fueled by MTV hits like Gimme All Your Lovin’, Sharp Dressed Man, and Legs, the band blended Texas boogie and 80s synths into a timeless rock formula. Their aesthetic — fast cars, pin-ups, and tongue-in-cheek attitude — became a cultural trademark of American rock.

Even after the passing of Dusty Hill in 2021, ZZ Top continues to tour, honoring its legacy with the same groove and grit.
