Morbid Angel is a legendary force in death metal, formed in 1983 in Tampa, Florida by guitarist Trey Azagthoth. Known for their technical, brutal and occult-driven sound, the band played a crucial role in shaping modern death metal.

Their debut album Altars of Madness (1989) is widely regarded as a cornerstone of the genre, followed by landmark releases such as Blessed Are the Sick, Covenant and Domination. Morbid Angel is known for combining extreme speed with complex songwriting, featuring swirling riffs and a distinct mystical atmosphere.

Trey Azagthoth has always maintained a bold artistic vision, pushing the limits of extreme metal. Despite lineup changes, the band has remained a defining force in the genre.
