Bannière Marduk

Black Metal

Formed in 1990 in Norrköping, Sweden, Marduk stands as one of the most extreme pillars of Scandinavian black metal. Led since its inception by Morgan “Evil” Håkansson, the band quickly gained notoriety for its brutal sound, blasphemous lyrics, and militant imagery. Their mission was clear: to create the most “blasphemous and brutal” black metal band in existence.

Album after album, Marduk has pushed the genre’s limits with classics such as Panzer Division Marduk (1999), a relentless sonic assault inspired by the devastation of war, as well as Those of the Unlight and Opus Nocturne. Their trademark sound blends blistering speed, razor-sharp guitars, and machine-gun drumming within a dark and nihilistic atmosphere.
