Bannière Johnny Hallyday

Rock & Roll

Nicknamed “the idol of the young”, Johnny Hallyday shaped the French music scene for more than five decades. Born on June 15, 1943, in Paris, he brought rock’n’roll to France in the early 1960s, drawing inspiration from Elvis Presley while forging a unique stage identity. Timeless hits such as Que je t’aime, Gabrielle, and Allumer le feu made him a true national legend.

His charisma on stage and spectacular tours — including the Cadillac Tour and Flashback 2006 — remain unforgettable. Passing away on December 5, 2017, in Marnes-la-Coquette, Johnny left an immense void but continues to live on in the hearts of millions of fans.
