Everything about Foo Fighters: biography, style & influences

Foo Fighters is an American alternative rock band founded in 1994 by Dave Grohl, former drummer of Nirvana, shortly after the tragic death of Kurt Cobain. Initially a solo project, Foo Fighters quickly evolved into a full band and became a major force in 2000s and 2010s rock.
With iconic tracks such as Everlong, Learn to Fly, The Pretender and Best of You, the band blends melodic power, emotional sincerity and explosive live energy. In 2021, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, recognizing a career defined by authenticity and commitment to rock values.
Closely connected to the stoner and alternative scene, Dave Grohl has also collaborated with Queens of the Stone Age, strengthening the links between different branches of modern American rock.
