Disturbed are a cornerstone of the American alternative metal scene, formed in 1994 in Chicago. Led by the powerful voice of David Draiman, the band blends crushing riffs, anthemic choruses and raw energy instantly recognizable from the first note.
Their breakthrough album The Sickness (2000), featuring the iconic single Down with the Sickness, established Disturbed as a major force of the early nu metal wave. Later releases such as Ten Thousand Fists (2005), Indestructible (2008) and Immortalized (2015) expanded their sound with a melodic yet powerful edge.
Evolution (2018) revealed a more introspective side, incorporating acoustic and emotional elements without losing their metal core. Today, Disturbed stand among the giants of modern heavy music, alongside Slipknot and System of a Down.
