Formed in London in 1988, Blur became one of the defining bands of the 1990s britpop era, alongside Oasis, Suede and Pulp. Led by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree, the band blended English pop tradition, social irony and bold experimentation.
With landmark albums like Parklife (1994), The Great Escape (1995) and Blur (1997), they delivered global hits — Girls & Boys, Song 2, Beetlebum, Coffee & TV — shaping a sound and image that defined an entire decade. Witty, reflective and sonically adventurous, Blur captured the essence of 90s Britain while pushing its boundaries.
Still evolving decades later, the band remains a creative force, returning triumphantly in 2023 with The Ballad of Darren.
